What does the Benefits Administration Office do?

Your Benefits Office Team is available to answer any questions you have about your health and pension benefits.

When you join Local 280 your employer will report your worked hours, which we then use to determine your eligibility for health benefit coverage and your pension entitlement. Please review the Plan booklets for more details about these benefits.

Once you qualify for coverage, we will advise Pacific Blue Cross to add you and your dependents to the Plan.

The Benefits Office Team processes claims for VISION CARE, HEARING AIDS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRAVEL, and WAGE INDEMNITY (Short-Term Disability). Dental and all other Extended Health are processed by Pacific Blue Cross.

The Benefits Office Team also processes pension payouts and retirements.
